Kurt Harrison is the founder and co-head of Russell Reynolds Associates’ Global Sustainability Practice, and a member of the firm's Board and CEO Advisory Practice. Over his 16 years with the firm, Kurt has recruited C-suite leaders and board directors to a number of the firm’s largest global clients.
Based in New York, he has held a number of senior leadership roles within Russell Reynolds Associates, including Head of the Financial Services Sector in the Americas, and Global Head of the Investment Management Practice. More recently he has become a recognized industry leader across sustainability, impact, climate and decarbonization, and a sought-after public speaker and guest lecturer who was recently named as a “Top Voice in the Green Economy” by LinkedIn. Kurt is a highly regarded author on sustainability topics, and a number of his white papers have been published by the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Kurt spent 20 years working within capital markets, holding leadership positions for a number of leading global banks including Lehman Brothers, Bank of America and Nomura. Kurt began his career as an Analyst with JP Morgan.
Kurt received his BA in International Relations from the University of Virginia. He earned his Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge, and his Certificate in Sustainable Leadership from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He also earned his Climate Designation from Competent Boards.
