Annie Pope

Annie Pope partners with leading social impact organizations to conduct searches for CEO, board, and C-suite leaders. Based in Washington, DC, she brings nearly 15 years of experience in the fields of public policy, social justice, civil and human rights, advocacy, and philanthropy. Annie brings particular expertise in partnering with boards on leadership transitions, including founder and long-time CEO succession planning.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Annie worked in the Mayor’s Office in Houston, where she led the policy, strategy, and communications efforts for the City of Houston’s recovery following Hurricane Harvey. Given her background in policy and public administration, she brings a unique ability to partner with organizations at the intersection of programmatic services, policy and advocacy, and research.

Earlier in her career, Annie was an Assistant Director at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City. She began her career as a nonprofit development consultant at Orr Associates, supporting board effectiveness, development, and strategic planning projects across the nonprofit sector.
