Ann Hiat leads searches for top legal and compliance executives for public and private organizations across industries. Based in Washington D.C., Ann helps organizations identify, recruit and assess general counsels, chief compliance officers, risk officers, and government and regulatory affairs leaders, along with other senior in-house attorneys.
A member of several Bar associations, Ann practiced law in a boutique litigation firm where she represented employees before administrative law judges. Earlier in her career, Ann was a legal and investigations fellow for the Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor.
Ann received her BA, cum laude, in sociology and Spanish from Georgetown University and her JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, during which time she was an editor for the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender.
Ann is currently a member of the New Jersey and New York State Bars. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey, as well as the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. Ann is also a member of the New York City Bar Association.
